Perth Waterfront
This sketch comes before much fuss is over the Perth Foreshore.Then the attention increases with the boom in WA from 2005-2007...high hope...enthusiastic ...much about the lost waterfront, the connection from a dead city to the water... with programme...seemingly some kind of architecural intervention can cure the missing link... as the story goes. As Perth watchers look at the scheme, it makes a perfect perpectual virtual design at the water edge...except the recent scheme capture the essence of Dubai glitter.I feel it is rather nice and timely... if it can avoid the credit crunch once again.
Xian, Xianyang Hotel
Here comes the ancient city of Xian and Xianyang...an opportunity arises out of the blue.A quick sketch to the 70s' Japan hotel,without much attachment.The easy feeling has actually developed into a serious scheme...sometime architecture is like unintention dream... without begining and ascent to the occasion. Obvious slience is required and patience is splinkled over the jungle of hope. One day the unexpected grows to be a giant tree...looking down the transcent city... all has gone...the emperors, kings and queens....remain are eastern constellation of Pyramids, scattered the landscape of Xianyang...Xian...once the playground of Lu-Pei, Siang-Yu and Chin-ze-wan-ti...the all mighty....
